Earlier in the year, the exciting news was announced that we were collaborating with the National Trust to organise a unique exhibition for display within Claydon House.
We advertised an open call inviting all artists to submit a painting that fit the brief - landscapes inspired by Great Britain. The response was incredible! We would like to sincerely thank all artists who entered paintings and offer our congratulations to those whose work has been selected.
This special exhibition, The People’s Landscape, is being held within the elegant and stylish grand saloon of Claydon House and is open to visitors at no extra cost to the house entry fee, running for 4 weeks from 7 September to 4 October.
The collection of work, created by artists from across the UK and consisting of over 60 paintings, offers variety in subject matter, style and technique and truly celebrates the wonderful landscapes of this country.
Certainly an exhibition not to be missed! We look forward to your visit.
When planning your visit to Claydon House and The People’s Landscape exhibition, on from Sat 7 Sept - Wed 2 Oct (closed Thurs and Fri), remember there’s free parking on site and entry to the exhibition is free (aside from house entry fee). Why not make a day of it? The Phoenix Kitchen will be serving an array of tasty treats and the shops and galleries in The Courtyard will be open as usual, 11am - 4pm (Saturday to Wednesday).
