2 day course: 10am - 4pm

From children playing on a beach, a busy cafe scene to a family walking through a meadow, this course will take you through the process of capturing these picturesque scenes that feature figures as the main focus.

Peter will lead you through his structured approach to creating these types of paintings which includes the initial drawing, colour mixing and paint application. You will have the option to work from an excellent range of professional photographs or you are welcome to bring your own images to work from. 

This course is suitable for all abilities. If you are completely new to art or returning to it after a very long period, you may find it helpful to come along to one of our evening classes or try one of our beginners courses first.

Other items required for this course;

-a selection of paint brushes in a good range of sizes from 0 - 12, suitable for oil painting. Soft sable or watercolour brushes will not be suitable.
-Images to work from if you would like to bring your own.

Material Fee

There will be a materials fee of £5 payable in cash to the artist at the start of the course, which goes towards all other tools and materials which will be provided, including all paper and paint.
