2 day course: 10am - 4pm
Have you ever wanted to paint a landscape like one of the Impressionists?
This very popular 2 day course is designed to give you both an insight and opportunity to work in the same style and manner as some of the great Impressionist painters, producing landscape paintings enriched with colour, texture and light. Taking inspiration from Monet, Sisley, Pissarro and others, you will use some of the most idyllic scenes around Claydon Gardens as our inspiration to produce beautiful Impressionistic landscape studio based paintings. Time will be taken to learn specific brush techniques, oil paint application and the importance of colour theory to create a painting with real harmony and vibrancy. During this course you can expect to create 2 Impressionist paintings; one of a classic Monet-inspired waterlily scene and the other a beautiful garden or landscape scene.
What to bring;
Please bring a good selection of hog oil painting brushes with you, in a range of sizes. The Impressionists typically used flat or filbert brushes so using these would be an advantage. All other painting tools and materials will be provided.
