Date Available:

30 April - 1 May 2019

2 day course: 10am - 4pm

Capturing light is the very essence of landscape painting and that’s what you’ll be doing in this course.

George will demonstrate the essential techniques in easy to follow stages. In addition you’ll examine what makes a successful composition, the importance of tonal values, how to identify your focal point, mixing colours for naturalistic effect and how to treat clouds.

Your watercolour landscapes will be transformed with tips and techniques you’ll never forget.

This course is suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced.

If you are completely new to art or returning to it after a very long period, you may find it helpful to come along to one of our evening classes or try one of our beginners courses first.

What to bring;

Students are expected to bring their own watercolour brushes, paints and paper. The tutor will supply a recommended list in advance of the course.

Material fee:

“George's course was excellent-he shared his knowledge regarding using watercolours so that know I have a basic understanding of the materials I need from brushes, paper and paint colours. A better understanding of how to master the paint, washes etc so hopefully I will have some control and the confidence now to practice. I thank George for inspiring me.”
