2 day course: 10am - 4pm

The course explains the very foundations of watercolour technique and reveals the magical effects you can exploit.

This course has been designed for participants who are new to watercolour or indeed painting itself.

Day One is devoted to understanding the medium and learning basic techniques.

You will begin by looking at the materials, equipment and palette of colours needed to ensure best results.  George will demonstrate and explain the key elements necessary for a compelling composition and guide you through the 4 key stages that create a successful watercolour.  Along the way you will learn and discover the importance of colour mixing and tonal values. 

Day Two is devoted to putting everything from Day One into practice with George's guidance.

By the end of the course, students will have produced a minimum of 2 complete paintings.

What to bring;

Students are expected to bring their own watercolour brushes, paints and paper. The tutor will supply a recommended list in advance of the course.

Material fee:

No additional material fee will be required for this course.
