Junior Artists Holiday Workshops

We had so much creative fun this summer with all of you who came along to our debut Junior Artist Workshops.
We are holding another workshop in October half term and on one of our Christmas shopping weekends - see below for more details!
What to expect:
Come and learn new skills and make art in a professional studio.
During each day will we focus on a different theme, with fundamental art skills being taught throughout. Our holiday club aims to give children aged 7 - 11 years, the chance to have fun, learn and create in a professional art studio.
Workshops can be booked individually, in groups or the whole collection. There will be no more than 16 participants per workshop. All materials provided.
With over twenty years experience in education (primary and secondary) between them, the directors of The Courtyard Art Studio Peter and Kimberley Keegan are passionate about teaching art, inspiring children and promoting the health and emotional benefits of producing art. Kimberley, who will lead the sessions, is a qualified primary school teacher with a degree in Fine Art. Kimberley is also paediatric first aid trained. All of the workshops will also include another studio assistant.

Clothes you don't mind getting messy!

Wednesday 24th October - Autumn Colours
The colours of Autumn have inspired artists for centuries - during this workshop we will use a range of mixed media to create 2D and 3D work all inspired by the warm hues of nature which surround us.
Claydon Courtyard Christmas Shopping Weekends: 1 & 2nd December, 8 & 9th December
The following workshops are taking place during the first of our Claydon Courtyard Christmas Shopping Weekends. Why not drop the children off and take advantage of your child free time to enjoy a festive beverage from the tea room and browse the other shops in the courtyard to find that unique and special gift? Alternatively, we’re not that far from Milton Keynes or Bicester Village - you could achieve a lot in 4 hours of child free shopping!
Saturday 1st December - Festive fabric fun
The creative possibilities using fabric at this time of year are endless! Come along to learn new skills & techniques and create some beautiful decorations and artwork in the process.
Sunday 2nd December - Winter landscapes
Looking at the the stark contrasts in the landscape at this time of year, we will paint, draw and print to create cards and 2D pieces of artwork. You will have the chance to mount one of your finished pieces which could make the perfect Christmas present!
